Seema Shah was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She accomplished her commerce graduation from Mumbai University. She transmuted her childhood passion to an innovatory art journey under the guidance and proficiency of Mr. Pradip Sarkar. She has a quiet a good hold on charcoal as well as acrylic medium.

Seema Shah’s art work is inspired by Indian culture and tradition. She has a particular interest in observing the female image in popular culture and the personal feelings that these images represent.

She evokes an aesthetic feeling, emphasising a greater harmony between Indian culture and creativity. Her work speaks slowly in many voices, allowing tradition to play into the contemporary.
