These home chefs are appreciated for their food preparations, but seldom do they venture to make a living out of their passion for cooking. Even if they do, it’s a very local and limited reach that they cater to. The world is an entrepreneurial playground and everyone has an equal opportunity. So do these wonder chefs. We strongly believe so.
Simply put, we have the vision and potential of creating entrepreneurs in almost every household. It can be a modest start, but every business starts low and slow before it gets those stars up their sleeve.
The home chefs who until now have been catering to local orders can use the Aarogyumm platform to make the entire geography of India their marketplace as orders can be picked up from their premises and delivered anywhere across India through the Aarogyumm platform.

The Aarogyumm Enrollment & Operational Process for interested Yumm Chefs
The process described below is simple and easier done than said:
• Every home chef who wishes to enroll as a Yumm Chef on the Aarogyumm platform would mandatorily need to have a FSSAI registration / license.
• The process of applying and obtaining a FSSAI registration is made easy by the Government of India and can be accessed at https://foscos.fssai.gov.in/
• You can download the steps to apply for the FSSAI registration here. A signed self-declaration also needs to be submitted and the format for the declaration can be downloaded here. You also need to submit photographs of your kitchen and premises. Examples of the nature of the photographs can be looked up at any of our Yumm Chef’s pages.
• If you have carefully uploaded all the required details and supporting documents, the expected time for getting your registration could vary anywhere between a couple of days to a week or more.
• In case you are unable to apply for the registration yourself you can take the help of licensing consultants who may charge you anywhere between 1000 – 5000. The actual fee for the registration for 1-year is just Rs. 100/- while a 5-year registration costs you only Rs. 500/- if you do it yourself. So, it is worth giving a try on your own as its pretty straightforward and easy.
• Once the FSSAI registration is obtained, you can apply to Aarogyumm to become a Yumm Chef and make a start to your business journey.
• Aarogyumm will charge Rs. 5,000/- + 18% GST for your enrollment for the first year (renewed at Rs. 500/- annually).
• The charge of Rs. 5,900/- (incl. GST) can be bifurcated into 4 sub-heads for your understanding - Platform fees of Rs. 2,000/-; Refundable security deposit of Rs. 1,000/- (read more on the refundable security deposit in detail below); Rs. 2,000/- towards personalized Aarogyumm branded packaging material with the Yumm Chef’s name, address, FSSAI number and QR code to Yumm Chef’s page (read the inclusions for this sub-head below); and GST Rs. 0,900/-
• The platform fees of Rs. 2,000/- include your registration, Yumm Chef page and profile creation and listing of up to 5 products. Additional products can be listed with a payment of Rs. 150/- per product when you exceed 5 products. Only products with a minimum shelf life of 3 weeks can be included in the list of offered preparations.
• Refundable deposit: This clause is to be strictly adhered to and accepted before deciding to enroll as a Yumm Chef with Aarogyumm. In case a Yumm Chef wants to opt out from the Aarogyumm platform, the deposit of Rs. 1,000/- shall be refunded to the Yumm Chef and his/her name shall be taken off the Aarogyumm website. The refundable deposit is just a security deposit to safeguard the credibility of Aarogyumm. A customer shall order products from you because they can see that they are available online on the Aarogyumm platform. Once the order is received and if the Yumm Chef is unable to service the order for whatsoever reason, the order will have to be cancelled and shall create a negative opinion in the mind of the customer for the Aarogyumm platform. Hence, to safeguard the credibility of the Aarogyumm platform, the refundable deposit will be strictly forfeited if it happens for more than 2 occasions. Any Yumm Chef who decides to opt out of the Aarogyumm platform after 2 such occasions will also lose the right to the security deposit. To be relisted on the Aarogyumm platform, the Yumm Chef shall have to make a payment of Rs. 1,000/- towards a fresh security deposit. However, we understand that you may not want to be bound by the business and there would be times when you would not be available to service the orders due to many reasons whatsoever like – vacations, celebrations, occasions, health, etc. In such cases you should inform the Aarogyumm platform about your unavailability at least 24 hours prior to your unavailability. This will help us to temporarily deactivate your account from the Aarogyumm platform and thus your products shall not be available for sale. Please understand that this clause is included to maintain the credibility of the Aarogyumm platform for our collective good and is to be absolutely strictly adhered to. IN CASE YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS CLAUSE PLEASE DO NOT APPLY TO ENROLL AS A YUMM CHEF. Your application shall mean that you have understood and agreed to this clause regarding Refundable Security Deposit.
• The packaging materials you shall receive include: 15 Nos. 2000ml Containers, 20 Nos. 1250ml Containers, 25 Nos. 750ml Containers, 25 Nos. 3½" X 6" Premium Samples Pouches, 25 Nos. 8" X 12" Premium Pouches, 1 No. Transparent Tape 1½", 25 Nos. Courier Bags 15" X 19" and 25 Nos. Courier Bags 10" X 12". The same can be reordered at least 7 days in advance before your stocks exhaust from the Aarogyumm platform as per requirement by paying for the same along with courier charges.
• Once your application is accepted, a brief profile of the yumm chef will be uploaded on the Yumm Chef’s page on the Aarogyumm platform along with images of the facility where the foods will be prepared and the FSSAI registration document. This is to bring in more transparency to the business and add to the business credibility as it would add value to the customers’ trust if they get to know who is preparing their order and where.
• Your products and their details along with rates and buying options will be uploaded on the Yumm Chef’s page.
• Any additional write-up or information that the Yumm Chef would like to include can be optional.
• Once listed on the Aarogyumm platform you can start receiving orders online and offline. The Aarogyumm platform does not guarantee any sales and you will have to advertise your Yumm Chef page and products using the social media links. You can share your page and product links to your friends, relatives and contacts to begin with for a good order response, as people whom you know directly would be more likely to trust your food and order from you. Give your business time to grow as your Yumm Chef page and products get known online and offline.
• Once an order is received for your products, the Yumm Chef is responsible to keep the order products ready within 48 hours of the order time and inform Aarogyumm of the tentative pick-up time at least 24 hours in advance. This will facilitate smoother pick-up and deliveries of your order. The sooner your order is prepared, picked-up and delivered better it would be for your business as you can expect a more satisfied customer due to the taste and faster delivery experience. Yumm Chefs will only make fresh foods on confirmed orders and any stocks prepared by the Yumm Chefs are not the responsibility of Aarogyumm.
• All orders whether received online or offline should be packed in your personalized Aarogyumm branded packaging. You may choose not to use Aarogyumm branded packaging for offline orders but we strongly recommend not doing so as it would affect the image of your business eventually. The personalized branded packaging also serves as an advertisement for you as your details and a QR code to link your Yumm Chef page is also printed on your Aarogyumm packaging. The Aarogyumm branded packaging comes to you at a very nominal rate and hence it makes business sense to use Aarogyumm packaging for any orders that are received outside the Aarogyumm platform too.
• Once the order is prepared and ready, you shall neatly pack the same in your Aarogyumm branded container or pouch and seal it with a transparent tape to avoid any air passage into the container. You shall have to ensure that the product details are mentioned (handwritten by permanent marker) on the label. The container/containers and/or pouch/pouches shall together be packed inside the courier bag provided to you. In case the orders and quite large and do not fit into one courier bag, you may club two or more courier bags together and pack it neatly and securely so as to make it one single package. You shall measure and click the photographs of the length, breadth and width of the package and also the weight of the package on a weighing scale. One photograph shall also be clicked with the courier label seen inside the courier bag or the package cover.
• Based on the dimensions and weight of your package and the order delivery destination we shall book and arrange for the courier partner to pick-up and deliver your order. We shall send you a PDF of the courier label and manifest on your designated WhatsApp number and/or email and you will have to simply take a printout of it to be attached with the package. Please note that we are working on average weight and dimension-based courier rates and any incremental cost of courier shall have to be borne by the Yumm Chef. This may occasionally happen when there are orders from states other than your home state. As we go forward, we shall try to develop real time courier rates being applied to the orders to avoid any such discrepancies if we can. Courier charges are dependent on external partners and may have to be revised with any revisions by the delivery partners.
• Once your package is ready, the courier partner shall come and pick-up the parcel at the predesignated time as assigned after confirmation with the Yumm Chef. If the parcel is not ready by the time the courier partner arrives, you may have to pay for the additional charges for reattempting pick-up if any as charged by the courier partner.
• The orders are supposed to be delivered within 3-7 days from the order. Deliveries within the same Zone or deliveries to metro cities do happen quicker but in exceptional cases it may reach the customer earlier or a bit later than normally expected.
• Orders will be prepaid and payments will be secured and assured for the Yumm Chef. Yumm Chefs will receive their payouts at weekly/fortnightly settlements.

Advertising for publicity
• The Aarogyumm platform will be occasionally publicized on social media through posts, videos and images. The Yumm Chefs will also be expected to share the posts and ask to be reshared amongst their friends and relatives. Yumm Chefs should also advertise their Yumm Chef page and products by directly sharing links to their friends, relatives and contacts and also request them to reshare it further. More the popularity of the platform more can be the sales expectancy.
• Yumm Chefs will also be supplied with 12 relevant marketing images per calendar year which they can share with their contacts, friends and relatives to advertise their business venture.
• Yumm Chefs will also be provided with 3 sizes of signage which they can print locally and use as display to advertise their business.
• Apart from the online presence for their business, the Aarogyumm platform listing will also help the Yumm Chef to have a credible business presence locally as their products will now be sold offline in a branded packaging.
• You are also given 25 Nos. 3½" X 6" Premium Samples Pouches at the time of registration as a Yumm Chef. Use these at your discretion to send samples of your other foods to customers which they would likely appreciate and probably add to their next order.
The economics of Aarogyumm
• All products sold on the Aarogyumm platform shall be including GST in the MRP.
• A payment gateway charge of 2% + 18% GST on the MRP shall be deducted from the Yumm Chef’s payout.
• 10% Aarogyumm platform fees on MRP per order shall be deducted from the Yumm Chef’s payout.
• The GST amount will be deducted from the Yumm Chef’s payout.
• Orders if returned/rejected in cases of wrong product delivered or inferior quality of product delivered will be deducted from the Yumm Chef’s payouts.
• Considering the deductions and the expenses for production and packaging, the Yumm Chef can price his/her products as per their discretion. Home-made products do carry a premium value, while pricing your product we suggest that you do not overshoot the prevailing rates although you can add your premium to it.
• The courier charges are to be borne by the customer, however to attract higher value orders, currently we have offered a free delivery for any orders valued over Rs. 2500/-. For such orders, the delivery charges shall be deducted from the Yumm Chef’s payout and should not be considered as a loss but should be seen as a intelligent business strategy.
• The above-mentioned charges and courier rates are subject to change and you shall be notified at every stage of change.
• The decision of the Aarogyumm platform in this regard shall be binding and final.
Though Aarogyumm is backed by a strong technical, administrative and advisory board, the Aarogyumm platform is a product of technological development. Any glitches in the system may be expected and Aarogyumm (ZapPPT Presentations) can be held liable only to the extent of annual platform fees paid by the registered Yumm Chef.
The Yumm Chef can be expelled from the Aarogyumm platform in case of any unlawful or un-regulatory activity is noticed or brought to our notice. In such cases, the Yumm Chef shall lose the right to claim the refundable deposit. Any offline sale undertaken by the Yumm Chef under the Aarogyumm banner thereafter shall not be the responsibility of Aarogyumm.
